Now for the insulated panels, there are EPS (Styrofoam) panels, PU (polyurethane) panels, PIR (Polyisocyanurate) panels.
Styrofoam panels are first generation. It’s not so good. For example, insulation, lifetime, fireproofing, strength, etc. So under the latest regulation of cold storage of China , Styrofoam panels are NOT allowed for cold room roof panels and wall panels.
PU panels has cam lock and using cam lock to joint together. It need lots of labor and working hours. With the cam lock and joint, we could make modular cold room, which installation is very easy, popular for some customer who have few experience to install.
For the big project, it needs more cam locks, so PU panels are not the best-insulated panels for cold rooms. With the technology improvement, PIR panels are becoming more and more popular, which is the continuous panels.
